Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Solis Advocacia handles the personal data sent through the contact form on this site, under Lei nº 13.709/2018 (the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Brazil's General Data Protection Law).
Who the controller is
Solis Advocacia, a Brazilian law firm registered under CNPJ (the Brazilian corporate taxpayer number) nº 00.000.000/0001-00 and enrolled with the OAB/SC under nº 0.000, with its registered office in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil.

What data we collect
Through the contact form:
- Name
- Phone
- City
- The type of matter selected
- The urgency indication (whether the person is in custody)
- The description you write in the free-text field
Automatically, for security and as evidence of consent: IP address, browser identification, the date and time of submission and the page of origin.
What we use it for
Solely to reply to your enquiry and to assess whether we can take on the matter. We do not use this data to send marketing communications, we do not sell it and we do not transfer it to third parties for commercial purposes.
On what legal basis
The processing rests on art. 7º, V of the LGPD, which authorises processing necessary for preliminary procedures related to a contract, carried out at the request of the data subject. The free-text field is also processed on the basis of the specific consent you give by ticking the box in the form, and that consent may be withdrawn at any time through the email address given above.
About the description field
We expressly ask that you do not describe the facts of the matter, do not give case numbers and do not name third parties in that field. A lawyer's professional secrecy takes effect in the consultation itself, and the content of the form travels through and is stored on the third-party services described below. The details must be dealt with in direct conversation.
Who we share it with
We use the following technology providers, based in the United States, which entails an international transfer of data under art. 33 of the LGPD:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — site hosting, content delivery network and protection against automated submissions.
- Atlassian (Trello) — internal organisation of the enquiries received, where each submission becomes a service record.
- PostHog — site audience measurement.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not result in an engagement are deleted within 13 months. Where there is an engagement, the data becomes part of the case file and follows the statutory retention periods applicable to legal practice in Brazil.
How we protect it
All site traffic is encrypted with TLS. Integration credentials are stored encrypted and are not accessible in the browser. Access to the enquiries received is restricted to the firm's lawyers.
Your rights
Art. 18 of the LGPD assures you: confirmation that processing exists; access to the data; correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data; anonymisation, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive or processed contrary to the law; portability; deletion of data processed on the basis of consent; information about the entities with which we share data; information about the option not to give consent and about the consequences of that; and withdrawal of consent.

Cookies and audience measurement
This site does not use advertising cookies and does not share data with ad networks. Audience measurement writes no cookie and no information at all to your browser: the identifier exists only in the tab's memory and disappears when you close it. That is why there is no cookie banner to accept, and each visit is counted as new.
The only information stored in your browser comes from the form's security check, which is needed to tell people apart from automated submissions, and only for those who use the form.
The measurement collects browsing data such as pages visited, time spent, device type and the source of the visit.
Audience measurement rests on legitimate interest (art. 7º, IX of the LGPD). You can object to this processing by turning on the Do Not Track option in your browser, which this site honours, or by writing to the email address given in the "Your rights" section.
